Privacy

Short version: Passaround has no accounts, no cookies and no tracking. Your tools and their data stay on your device. We cannot see them.
What stays on your device
The tools you add, the data they save, your circles, your name and automatic snapshots are stored in your browser's storage on your own device. They are never sent to us. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, they are gone, unless you saved a backup.
Share links
When you share a tool, its code travels inside the link, after the #. Browsers never send that part to our server. If you choose to include the tool's data, or send an invite to a circle, that travels in the link too. Anyone who has the link can read it, and so can the chat or mail service you send it with. Only share links with people you trust.
Backups
A backup is a file you save yourself. We never receive it. Without a passphrase, anyone who gets the file can read it. With a passphrase it is encrypted on your device.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. It never receives your tools or their data. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
No third parties
Fonts and all other files come from this site itself. The site does not load anything from Google or other companies. There is no analytics or tracking at all.
Tools made by others
A tool runs in a sandbox: it cannot read your other tools, your files or your contacts. A tool can still connect to the internet, so a tool from someone else could send the data you type into that tool somewhere. Only add tools from people you trust.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, export or delete. You stay in control: delete a tool, or remove all site data in your browser settings. Questions? Use the feedback link on the home page.
